How do we manage to produce world class products at sensible real world prices? We only sell direct, which means there is no dealers or distributors to add to the cost. We do not provide any fancy packaging because that too has to be paid for somehow, so throwing it in the bin is rather pointless in our view and a waste of YOUR money not ours.
We don't fit swanky overpriced/overrated connectors that adds to the "perceived value" of the products, when the sonic benefits do not warrant it. Our stockholding of raw materials is kept strictly under control, so there isn't any idle stock lying around - it's all built entirely to order. We don't spend fortunes on advertising and promotion either, because we believe personal endorsement by many satisfied customers is the best form of advertising ever. We don't carry any demonstration sample stock either as those that try, will keep them!

DUAL SCREENED MAINS CORDS

There is so much myth, hype and mis-information being circulated about the effects of mains leads on a hi-fi system. The vast majority of products on the market seem to be built to either a plaited or an externally shielded 3 core design, which they all claim is for "rejecting RFI".  Arguably, a 'different' sound is derived from these cables through the use of higher quality conductors than a standard flex, but to say a length of passive cable can actively clean up noisy mains power is wholly untrue. Induced external radiation is the very last thing to get concerned over when there are other more important problems that need to be addressed first.

No, we say the selection of your mains cabling is every bit as important as your choice of CD, pre-amp, power amp and speakers, because it is part of the system as a whole entity, so you should take equal care in buying only the best cables to unleash what all your components are capable of. We also see little point in fitting heavy grade interconnects and massive speaker cables capable of handling huge amounts of current from enormous power amps, when it's all fed through mains cable that is almost the same grade as bell wire - that amount of energy has to come from somewhere.

INTERCONNECTS

It has long been the belief that a good interconnect should merely transmit the signal from one hi-fi component to another without adding and without taking anything away. Interconnects also have to pass high speed current not just signal waveforms, plus perform intercomponent grounding and a vital role in keeping out unwanted airborne radiation.  Not only radio frequency signals, but also the stray aquisition of electromagnetic radiation from adjacent power cords, etc.

The construction of cables will also affect the sound through their resistance, capacitance and inductance values. All interconnect cables will certainly 'colour' the sound in one way or another, so the secret is to deliberately manipulate the colouration bands well out of harm's way at the extremes of the audible spectrum where they cannot be perceived by the human ear.

All of our interconnects and speaker cables have been specially selected to add the minimum amount of coloration possible. The solid silver STERLING interconnect has no equal in terms of information transmission and musical presentation, so it's doubtful you will find a similar performing cable at three, four, or even five times the price. The reason is we have chosen a VERY high purity silver wire (99.99% silver) specifically formulated for audio use, as opposed to sterling silver wire (92.5% silver) other cable makers are using which is intended for jewellery making - which indeed sounds harsh and raw with a distinct lack of bass. This is probably where folks have got the false perception that silver cables are "bright" sounding. Our new ALTO and PRISM interconnects are capable of retrieving even the slightest nuances in your recordings without an unpleasant sting associated with high resolution cables.
